We have used our suits for three winter seasons and can vouch for their weather proof and warmth efficiency. In biting wind and rain these suits keep you warm as toast. The two piece suit gives you more flexibility if the weather suddenly improves as you can remove just the jacket. We cannot vouch for the life preservation claims as we have not tried getting them immersed when wearing them!

Handling fish does mean the suits do get grubby if you do not clean them regularly. We use hot soapy water then a clean water rinse and leave on the clothes line till dry.

The only fault we have found with ours is that we catch the jackets on our cabin door latch and they have torn. Now that is purely our fault and nothing to do with manufacture.

Whilst we coose IMAX, however other good makers are Shakespeare, Sundridge, Fladen and ABU all make flotation suits to a similar specification. They range from about £70 upwards.
