Sea fishing from Dartmouth in August really should be better than this! The river Dart in August is usually busy. Today was no exception as we set out on a short fishing trip from Noss marina. Due to a late start and unfavourable tide we knew it would be a bit hit and miss with the fishing. However it is a pleasure just to be on the Dart and view the array of different craft.
We did make a local mark and landed 3 small pollack which were returned to fight another day.

Cruising up the river Dart from Dartmouth was the plan for our evening boat trip from Noss Marina. Karen had decided after a busy week she deserved a break and a trip out. Having checked the tide times I noticed a particularly high tide on Friday evening so I decided to take her for a river cruise and a picnic aboard blue Marlin III.
High tide was at 1905 at Dartmouth so we arrived around 1800 intending to go up river with the top of the tide and cruise back down …
